Fabio Morandín-Ahuerma is an academic and researcher specializing in the intersection of philosophy, neuroethics, and artificial intelligence. He is currently a Level 1 National Researcher with the National System of Researchers (SNII-SECIHTI) of Mexico. He holds a PhD (cum laude) in Philosophy from the Universidad Veracruzana, where he also earned his undergraduate degree. In 2016, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Philosophical Research in Buenos Aires (CIF). He is a full-time Professor-Researcher at the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), affiliated with the Northeastern Regional Campus. With over 70 academic publications, including articles, books, and book chapters, his work has been published in indexed (Q1 Scopus) and peer-reviewed journals. Among his works, the trilogy published by CONCYTEP stands out: Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges for Education (2024); Normative Principles for an Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (2023); Neuroeducation as an Epistemological Tool (2022). He is Chief Editor for Mexico of the Multidisciplinary Journal of Basic Science, Humanities, Art, and Education and a Springer-Nature reviewer for the journal AI and Ethics. He has been a visiting professor at various universities in Mexico and abroad. In 2025, he participated as an expert in the Horizon Europe AI4POL project focused on the governance of high-risk AI.
